Who you'll see

The same practitioner, start to finish

Sonya plans and carries out every treatment herself, and sees you at every follow-up.

She spent many years in high-end fashion as a stylist, both within leading menswear and women's stores and independently, where she learned that everything comes down to the client's experience from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave.

Sonya was drawn to body contouring first as a client herself. Curious about how it worked, she tried it herself and knew she'd found what she'd always been interested in. B Sculpt is the clinic she wished she'd found first: serene, professional and honest, where you're looked after from start to finish and leave wanting to come back.

Frequent Questions

What happens at my first consultation?

Sonya talks through your goals and your health history, checks whether a treatment is suitable for you, and takes measurements so changes can be tracked over time. There's no pressure to book a treatment on the day.

Warm or cold: which treatment is right for me?

Warm (Multi-Polar RF + PEMF) is used over a course of sessions for skin tightening, body contouring and a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

Cold (cryolipolysis) uses controlled cooling to reduce the fat layer in a targeted area.

Sonya recommends the right one for you at your consultation, based on your goals and your health.

Is this a weight-loss treatment?

No. B Sculpt isn't a weight-loss clinic. Our treatments are about shape and skin, not the number on the scales, and many clients come to us after weight loss or after having a baby.

Cold (cryolipolysis) cools the fat layer in a targeted area. Cooled fat cells undergo programmed cell death, and the body's immune and lymphatic systems clear them naturally over the following weeks.

Warm (Multi-Polar RF + PEMF) is used over a course of sessions for skin tightening, body contouring and a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

They're not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle, diet or exercise. If weight loss is your goal, your GP is the best person to talk to.

What does it feel like?

Warm: most people describe a sensation like a warm stone, and you can rest, read or talk during a session.

Cold: expect strong cold and a pulling sensation at first, easing as the area numbs.

Are there side effects or downtime?

Warm: there is usually no downtime. You may notice some mild redness and warmth, which usually settles within a few hours.

Cold: there is usually no downtime. The treated area usually feels cold and numb for a while afterwards, and may be a little red or tender for a few days.

Sonya talks you through possible side effects at your consultation or by phone before your first treatment. The full Risks, side effects & aftercare is also available in the footer.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people do a course of sessions, and that's where our packages give you the best value: the more sessions in your package, the lower the price per session. Sonya suggests a plan at your consultation and records measurements at each visit so you can see how you're going. Results vary between individuals.

When will I notice changes?

Changes build gradually. After a cold treatment, the body clears the treated fat cells over the following weeks to months. Results vary between individuals.

Is everyone suitable?

No. Some health conditions rule a treatment out, for example pregnancy, a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device (warm), or cold-related conditions (cold). Sonya goes through a full health screening at your consultation, and treatment only goes ahead if it's suitable for you.

Are the treatments and equipment approved?

Both of the devices we use are included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), and they're used only for their intended purposes. Every treatment is carried out by Sonya, who is trained on both devices, and B Sculpt is fully insured.

Who will treat me?

Sonya, every time. She looks after every client personally, from your first consultation to each treatment and follow-up, and she really cares about how you feel at every visit. You'll never be handed on to someone you haven't met.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the area being treated. Packages bring the price per session down, and where it suits you, Sonya can combine warm and cold treatments in one plan. She'll take you through the options and pricing at your consultation.

How do I book?

Book online with the Book a consultation button, or message us on WhatsApp or email and we'll find a time. A card is held when you book online (see cancellations below).

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Use the link in your booking confirmation, or message us on WhatsApp or email bookings@bsculpt.com.au. A card is held at booking and is only charged if the cancellation policy isn't followed. We may waive the fee for genuine emergencies or illness.

Risks & Safety Information

Our treatments are non-invasive and generally well-tolerated when performed on suitable candidates by trained professionals. However, like all aesthetic procedures, they carry potential side effects and risks. Please read the information below carefully.

Every client receives a thorough initial consultation and health screening. Treatment will only proceed if no contraindications are identified. If any medical concerns arise, we will advise you and treatment will be deferred until medical clearance is obtained.

CoolSlimming (Cryolipolysis / Fat Freezing)

Cryolipolysis works by controlled cooling to target and destroy fat cells. The body then gradually eliminates them over several weeks to months.

Common Side Effects (usually temporary)

These typically appear during or shortly after treatment and resolve within days to a few weeks:

  • Redness, swelling, or bruising in the treated area
  • Numbness, tingling, stinging, or increased sensitivity
  • Tenderness, aching, or a firm/“stiff” feeling
  • Mild itching or temporary skin colour changes

There is usually no downtime: these effects don't stop most people returning to normal activities straight after treatment.

Less Common / Rare Risks

  • Prolonged numbness or altered sensation (can last weeks to months in some cases)
  • Contour irregularities or uneven results
  • Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH) — a rare but important risk in which the treated fat increases in volume instead of decreasing, often forming a firm, enlarged area that matches the shape of the applicator. PAH does not resolve on its own and usually requires surgical correction (e.g. liposuction). Reported rates vary across studies and devices.
  • Very rare: skin blanching, blistering, burns, or nerve-related issues

Who Should Not Have CoolSlimming (Contraindications)

Absolute contraindications (treatment must not be performed):

  • Cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria
  • Cold urticaria (cold-induced hives)
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Hernia in or near the treatment area
  • Open wounds, active infection, severe dermatitis, or other compromised skin in the treatment area

Relative contraindications / caution required (must be assessed case-by-case):

  • Raynaud’s phenomenon or significant cold sensitivity
  • Poor circulation or impaired sensation in the area
  • Recent surgery or significant scarring in the treatment zone
  • Severe varicose veins
  • Significant loose skin or poor skin elasticity
  • High BMI / obesity (this is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss solution)
  • History of liver impairment (the body must process the released fat)

Venus Legacy (Multi-Polar Radio Frequency + PEMF)

Venus Legacy uses multi-polar radiofrequency combined with pulsed electromagnetic fields (and often vacuum/massage) to heat tissue, stimulate collagen, improve circulation, and temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite and circumference.

Common Side Effects (usually temporary)

  • Mild redness and a warm sensation in the treated area
  • Slight swelling or tenderness
  • Temporary skin sensitivity

These typically settle within a few hours to a couple of days. There is usually no downtime.

Less Common / Rare Risks

  • Bruising (more likely with vacuum settings)
  • Temporary pigment changes (hyper- or hypopigmentation)
  • Burns, blisters, or scarring — rare and usually linked to incorrect technique or settings
  • Allergic reaction to conductive gel (very uncommon)

Who Should Not Have Venus Legacy (Contraindications)

Treatment is generally not suitable if you have:

  • Pregnancy or are undergoing IVF
  • Pacemaker, defibrillator, or any other implanted electronic device
  • Metal implants (plates, screws, etc.) in the treatment area (dental implants are usually fine)
  • Silicone implants or permanent fillers in the treatment area
  • Active cancer or recent history of cancer in/near the treatment area
  • Active infection, inflammation, or open wounds in the treatment area
  • Uncontrolled thyroid disorders
  • Significant varicose veins in the treatment area
  • Certain skin-related autoimmune conditions
  • Recent surgery in the area

A thorough consultation will determine suitability.
